SICK has recently introduced three new entry/exit solutions that protect both the input (entry) and output (exit) side of a robot cell. These flexible, yet functional and safe solutions, are ideal for a variety of robot applications. Solutions vary from those that use standard muting techniques (e.g. M4000 Advanced Multiple Light Beam Safety Device) to those that engage active protective beams as the product travels in and out of the cell (e.g. C4000 Palletizer and S3000 Advanced). If muting sensors are a hassle, the C4000 Palletizer may be a solution.
