These Product Sets consist of carefully selected components, tested to ensure smooth interoperability, and designed for easy ordering with simplified part numbers and a convenient Quick Start Guide included to get the user up and running quickly.

The Danaher Motion Rotary Indexer Product Set provides unmatched flexibility enabling the user to achieve motion sequences unheard of in mechanical indexing. Precision technology allows for superior repeatability and accuracy. Zero maintenance and rapid start up combine to offer the lowest total cost of ownership of any rotary indexing option. Proven technology, tested Interoperability, and rapid start up with a Quick Start Guide are the core of the Danaher Motion Product Sets.

The Rotary Indexer Product Set consists of a Goldline DDR motor, MMC Smart Drive with Digital MMC Controller installed, an optional touch screen HMI, and plug and play cables to connect the pieces together. The pre-loaded Indexing application program specifies where all of the machine I/O points should be wired. Several different modes can be accessed from the main menu on the HMI, including a Manual mode where the axis can be jogged and homed, an edit mode where indexing program steps can be created and changed and an Auto mode where the indexing program can be started and the status of the axis and the I/O points can be viewed. Indexing programs are stored on the controls RAMDISK and can contain up to 300 steps. The steps are executed sequentially, and the program can be started with any step. A batch count can also be set to repeat a program a specific number of times. To run without the HMI, Index programs can be created with Excel or Notepad and loaded onto the control’s RAMDISK.

• Create Index programs on the HMI by filling in the blanks or offline using Excel or Notepad
• Index programs can contain up to 300 steps
• Program steps can be absolute or incremental indexing moves, motion support such as changing the velocity, or I/O control such as turning on an output or waiting for an input
• Index programs can be initiated from the touch screen, or run without the touch screen using a discrete I/O interface
• Custom user-defined commands can be created
• Customize the application program to add your own application-specific features, or even to add a secondary axis. Simply add the appropriate logic and daisy chain a second drive to the first one using CAT5 Ethernet cable
• Create electronic cam profiles to replace mechanical cams with the User-Defined commands or by customizing the application program
• Absolute encoder eliminates the need to reference on power-up

The Rotary Indexer Product Set is ordered with a single part number. The motor sizing, done with Motion Solutions, determines which controller/drive to be used. Select the cables of the appropriate length and optional components such as the HMI and shunt resistor and you are ready to go.
